Contemporary classical architecture
There is an increasingly strong trend to build buildings in a classical style instead of using modern architectural tastes.
While this trend has been downplayed by some as "right-wing" or "elitist," the reality is that consistently, opinion studies show that a vast majority of the population (65-85%) prefers classical architecture over modern taste architecture.

Permanent Seminar on Classical Architectural Design
Basic Course
We invite you to be part of an academic program dedicated to the study and practice of classical architecture design, understood as a relevant discipline, with contemporary application in current architecture and urbanism.
This course offers a solid introduction to the theoretical, compositional, and methodological principles of classical design, through a rigorous and practical approach, supported by academic institutions and specialists of national and international recognition.
This course will take place on Saturdays, October 24 and 31, November 7 and 21, 2026, from 10 am to 3 pm, CDMX time.
Why study classical architecture today?
However, today, multiple urban and architectural projects in different parts of the world demonstrate that classical principles remain a valid reference for designing more livable, harmonious, and culturally coherent cities.
All of this also speaks to the importance of classical architecture as a business opportunity.
This seminar is based on the premise that classical architecture is not a decorative style, but a design system based on proportion, order, composition, and historical precedents, applicable to the contemporary context.
Course Objective
